Losing a pet is a painful experience.  They share so much of our lives and this realization may not become apparent until they are gone.  The lives of a pet and owner are often times so intertwined that you may feel empty once they are gone.  This loneliness and grief is intense at first, but take comfort in knowing that each day will become easier.  Take time to grieve, but continue to remember the happy times.
